Jean C. Stephens

Jean Champayne Stephens, 83, passed away peacefully Aug 11, 2013. She was born on Nov 19, 1929 to Leo and Carla Champayne in Muskegon Heights, MI during the depths of the great depression. She was the oldest of four children, Jean, Jack, Jerry, and George. She married Everett Stephens and from that union came three children. She was a longtime resident of the Britton area where she also worked as a beautician for over 37 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and her grandchild, Todd Everett Stephens. She is survived by her children, Paula Renteria and husband Bobby, Johnny Lee Stephens and wife Linda, and Dennis Stephens and wife Lana; grandchildren, Rene Renteria, Carla Schwab and husband Zane, and Reggie Renteria, Kelly Stephens, Beau Stephens and wife Rachel, Trevor Stephens and wife Lori, Tracy Stephens and wife Jasmine; great grandchildren, Avery Ramero, Ian Schwab, Brittany, Everett and Addison Stephens; brother, Jerry Champayne. Services for Jean will be 10:00am, Wednesday, August 14 at Baggerley Funeral Home with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery.
