

Laura Ann Doolin was born March 11, 1937 to Albert C. Doolin and Mamie Durley Doolin. Laura was the third child to this union. Laura gave her life to Christ at an early age. She also was a graduate of Dunbar school of Arcadia, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life September 23, 1957 and celebrated 57 years of marriage on September 23, 2014. To this union they had seven daughters: Leta Starr, Sharon Jackson, Norma Morris/Williams, Tamera Morris, Shealia Garrison, Jackie Winters, and Dena Plunkett. Laura was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Laura was a devoted member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 500 Odor St, Arcadia, Ok. For many years, she worked at Adam Mills Hosiery Factory in Edmond, OK, she worked herself up to being a supervisor. Then her missions began, she worked for Edmond Nursing Center as a Dietary Aide. She also worked at Grace Living Center as a Dietary Aide. Missionary work continued to be a part of her life. She had been voted as President of the Women's Mission at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Laura Ann Morris departed her earthly life May 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Johnnie Norman Morris, two daughters Norma J. Morris/Williams, Tamera R. Morris, a loved child Antonio Gill Shepard, grandson Joseph Lee Berry, great-grandson Johnnie N. Garrison II, her parents Albert C. Doolin and Mamie Doolin/Smith, two sisters Lena Bates, Bobbie Crump, and two brothers Alfred Doolin, and Raymond Doolin. She leaves a favorite scripture to family and friends, 1 Corinthians 15: 54-58
A visitation for Laura will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
A celebration of life will occur Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home.
