Linda attended Parkersburg High School in Parkersburg, West Virginia and graduated in 1963. She married Frederick Wires III on Nov. 22, 1965, and was married to him for 37 years before his death in 2002. Together, they had three children. In 1974, the couple moved to Oklahoma, where Linda had a lengthy career in nursing. She graduated from Francis Tuttle ‘s Licensed Practical Nursing Program in 1988 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from OSU OKC as a registered nurse in 1991. She was a nurse for more than 20 years and worked at Baptist Medical Center, Visiting Nurses Association, Home Health and Hospice Agencies.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Robin Graham and her husband Kurt Graham of Newcastle, her son, Frederick Wires IV of Edmond and daughter, Kristin McNeese and her husband David McNeese of Edmond; grandchildren, Justin Graham, Jack McNeese and Emma McNeese; her mother, Dorothy (Bogard) Weaver of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brother, Richard Marshall and his wife Lorna Marshall of Walker, West Virginia; sister, Susan Haid and her husband Len Haid of Washington, West Virginia; step-brother Ted Weaver and his wife Linda Weaver of Washington, West Virginia; Uncle Kenneth Bogard of Union, Missouri; niece, Lorie Rajput and her husband Sanjay Rajput of Midlothian, Virginia, and niece, Amy Colon and her husband Gabe Colon of Champaign, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Marshall; step-father, Dale Weaver and her husband, Frederick Wires III.
Linda was a loving daughter, wife, mother and nana and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. She loved her grandchildren, and they loved her very much. She also enjoyed being a registered nurse and had a passion for working with the elderly. She had a great sense of humor, and her kindhearted nature made her a friend to many. She cherished her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
