Marjorie M. Johnson

Marge was born on the family farm in Canadian County, Oklahoma to Mike and Myrtle Jane Beckner Lunnon on April 20, 1918. She attended a small country school in Canadian County through the eighth grade then attended Cashion High School where she graduated in 1935. On Sep 5, 1940, she married her childhood sweetheart, Verlon Johnson, in Purcell. They lived in Los Angeles, CA during the first year of their marriage, then spent the remainder of their 67 year marriage in Oklahoma. Marge devoted her life to maintaining her home and caring for her family. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing and needlework. For many years she was an active member of the First Christian Church in Nicoma Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verlon; and her siblings, Blanch Eakins, Elba Lunnon, Alva Lunnon, Altha Northern, Dayton Lunnon, and Doris Burke. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Lovett and husband Benny, Bethel, Dianne Hernandez, Edmond, Cindy Perkins and husband Jeff, The Colony, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
