Born on March 31, 1930, Chuck lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and dedication. He was the proud father of Brenda Garrison Clowers (husband Daniel), Otis Garrison III (wife Charletta Phillips Garrison), and Rhonda Garrison Daniels (husband Rodney Daniels). He also cherished his stepdaughters Jackye Baker (husband Andy) and Tami Macias (husband Rafael) and their families. His legacy with his children continues through 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and his beloved wives: Bonnie Burton Garrison, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage, and Jauauna Durham Hartman Garrison, with whom he shared 27 years.
A man of deep faith, Chuck was an ordained minister with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. For more than 60 years, he faithfully pastored congregations across six states, leaving behind countless lives touched by his preaching, counsel, and example. His devotion to the Word of God was evident in the countless study notes he left behind—testimony to his lifelong pursuit of truth and wisdom.
Chuck also served his country with honor as a proud Post World War II Air Force veteran. His service was during the clean-up years of 1946-1949. His love for America was matched only by his love for the Lord. In his leisure, he enjoyed the simple pleasure of cowboy movies, a reminder of his rugged spirit and enduring appreciation for the values of hard work and perseverance.
Otis Earl “Chuck” Garrison will be remembered as a cowboy at heart, a soldier of courage, and a preacher of the Gospel. His life was a living testimony of faith, service, and love, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
