"Papa" Joe Franks

His personal accomplishments include being a husband of 46 years, father of two and loving grandfather of three. He loved watching OU sports including the football and women’s basketball teams. He was a machinist at Crowl Machine for more than 30 years. Joe was a perfectionist at his hobby of woodworking and built many treasures for family members. He loved being on his boat with his wife, kids and grandkids.

Joe married Roseann Knox on June 22, 1963, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Barry Franks and wife Tohnia; daughter, Tracy Franks Roye and husband Jimmie; grandchildren, Kynzi and Kolton Franks, and Kynadee Roye; as well as brother, Larry Franks and wife Patricia and sister Margaret Stephens and husband Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at LifeChurch.TV Edmond Campus, located at I-35 & 2nd in Edmond with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, April 9th at Baggerley Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family will be available to greet friends during visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
