

Roger Lee Curtis, 64, of Edmond, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was born to Imogene and Hubert Curtis on January 31, 1953 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Roger graduated from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1971. After graduation, Roger was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where he worked in the business office, taught CPR and defensive driving, and ended his career as a claims adjustor. It was while he worked in the business office that he met the love of his life Nancy Larsen. He married Nancy in 1980, and they made their home in Edmond, Oklahoma. Roger always enjoyed spending time at the lake with friends, and eventually Roger and Nancy purchased a lake home at Lake Eufaula. The Curtis family enjoyed many years boating, lounging on the beach, fishing, water skiing, and spending time with friends. He will always be remembered as, and is best known for his sense of humor and jokester personality. Survivors include daughter and spouse Amy and Tony Miller of Edmond; daughter Kate Leonard of Edmond; son and spouse Landon and Leslie Curtis of Edmond; mother Imogene Curtis of Moore; 7 grandchildren Bryce Miller, Andrew Miller, Zachary Miller, Austin Leonard, Rebecca Miller, Kevin Leonard, and Mason Curtis; sister, spouse, and nephew, Vonda, Jerry, and Brent Barton of Moore. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Curtis; son Jarrod; and father Hubert Curtis. Roger never met a stranger; he made friends wherever he went. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.
