

Ronald Charles White, 68, of Guthrie, passed away March 2, 2013 with his loving family at his side. He was born August 24, 1944 to Robert Claude and Marie Esther (Devlin) White in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mr. White was a 1962 graduate of Stillwater High School. He also attended Oklahoma State University and earned his degree from OSU Technology Institute. He has also lived in Okmulgee, Del City, Edmond and most recently Guthrie. Ron married Rebecca Carol Humphrey of Stillwater on December 15, 1961.
Ron’s family was the most significant personal accomplishment in his life. Anyone who met him experienced his kindness and charity. His great love was baseball which he continued to play until he began to coach his son in Little League. He was an avid sports fan working with the youth of Del City for many years. Ron retired after 30 years as a successful Marketing Representative with Nabisco Inc. He started up his own business as Owner/Operator of Basic Lawn Care for the past 10 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, The National Marriage Encounter and was also involved in many civic, charitable and community events throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rebecca White; son, Chuck White and wife Rita of Seattle, daughter, Chelle Samara and husband Richard of Oklahoma City; brother, Bob White of Dallas; aunt, Gertrude Hayes of The Village; grandchildren, Melissa White of Denver, Maggie Braden and husband Colt of Houston, Madalene White of Chicago, Monica, Meredith and Chuck White III all of Seattle, Justin Samara of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, Cooper Braden and 8 nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials or contributions are requested for Project Gabriel, Oklahoma Chapter National Marriage Encounter or to the American Cancer Society.
