Tammy Myers

Tammy was born in Edmond, Oklahoma to parents George and Carolyn Green on June 24th, 1960. Tammy lived the first 40 years of her life in Edmond. At the age of 21, she married Mark Myers and shortly after they had their daughter, Brooke Myers, on December 18, 1981. Together they started New Leaf Floral with their best friend Greg Davis and though Mark and Tammy pursued other interests later in life, New Leaf is still a thriving business and something Tammy was always proud to have been a part of. Tammy was close to her sister and brother, Jamie Daves and Jeff Green and spent a lot of time with them while she was living in Edmond.

In the early 2000s Tammy moved to Dallas, Texas and was an active part of her recovery community. Tammy remarried for a few years and lived in East Texas until moving back to Oklahoma City in 2019.

Tammy struggled with recovery for many years but never gave up trying. In recent years, she was finally victorious with that battle. Tammy became a leader, an advocate and treasurer of her community. She spent her time sponsoring other women, chairing meetings and helping others. Tammy and her significant other Johnnie Williams were best friends and together spent their days being of service to others who were struggling and in need of comfort and support, and of course enjoying each other’s company. She had a strong relationship with God and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her daughter Brooke. Tammy and Brooke were very close, in fact best friends, and would often spend hours on the phone in the evening catching up on the day’s events.

Tammy will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, George Green, her mother Carolyn Green and her nephew Taylor Daves. She leaves behind her loving daughter Brooke Myers and husband Andy, sister Jamie Daves and husband Wayne, brother Jeff Green, Niece Haydan Marshall and husband Kyle and her great nieces Logan, Kennedy and Hadley, and of course her best friend and “person” Johnnie.

A celebration of life service for Tammy will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
