

Vic married the love of his life, Joan W. Paulos, in Wichita Falls, Texas, on September 12, 1951, who precedes him in death along with his two sisters, Catherine Grover and Martinett Spurgeon.
Vic is survived by his three children and their families: Andra Paulos Beehler and her husband Don Beehler of Franklin, TN., along with their children Carolyn Beehler and Brooke van Lang; Craig Paulos of Aztec, N.M. and his children: Callie Paulos Doherty, Vick Paulos, and Joshua Paulos; and Clay Paulos and his wife Tamara Paulos of Roswell, N.M., along with their children, Kristyn Paulos Petkau and Kathryn Paulos. Along with seven grandchildren, Vic is survived by four great-grandchildren.
Born in Mexia, Vic lived there until age nine, when the family moved to Odessa, Texas. In 1940, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he attended Texas Military Institute graduating in 1947. Vic and Joan dated while attending the University of Oklahoma – they were married for 67 years. Vic graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1952 with a B.S. in mathematics, followed by an M.B.A in statistics in 1954. Thereafter, the young couple moved to Waco, Texas where
Vic worked for Phillips Petroleum’s rocket fuels division. In 1956 Vic and Joan moved to Los Angeles, wherein he was employed by Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation, later known as Space Technology Labs, assigned to the rocket propulsion systems for the Minute Man, Thor, Titan, and Atlas missile programs. In 1958, Vic and Joan moved to Dallas, Texas, wherein he was employed by Texas Instruments as a branch manager for the production of semi-conductors. In 1967, the family moved to Bryan, Texas, wherein he became the CEO of Alenco, a manufacturer of aluminum windows and doors. Later, he became the CEO and Chairman of First Bank & Trust in Bryan until he became CEO of Butler Industries in Bryan, working there until he retired in 1990. Thereafter, he and Joan moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, where he started a business doing company appraisals and valuations, which he did for over twenty-five years.
In Hot Springs Village, Vic and Joan had many friends, loved to play bridge, and had a great church home at Village United Methodist Church.
