With heavy hearts, the family of Adele Bornia (nee Martin) from Edmonton, Alberta, shares the news of her passing on January 12, 2025, at the age of 92. Adele was a beloved wife to her husband Peter for 63 wonderful years and a cherished mother to their two sons, Kevin (Theresa) and Colin (Juliet). She was also a proud grandmother to Joshua (Natika) and Katelyn, and in March 2024, she joyfully welcomed her great-grandson, Emmett.
Adele is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mandy (Bernie) and Gladys (Norm), as well as her sisters-in-law, Nancy (Herb) and Lydia (Art). She was predeceased by her baby sister Betty and her brothers, Art and Herb Martin.
Born on December 2, 1932, to Wilhelm and Natalia Martin in Barrhead, Alberta, Adele truly embraced life. She loved her family and friends and made countless beautiful memories, from cheering on the Edmonton Eskimos to enjoying the music at the Big Valley Jamboree music festival.
Adele's love and spirit will always be with us, and she will be dearly missed.
