

Following a life filled with adventure, hard work, many friends, near and far, our dear Gladys left us on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, following a short hospital stay. She is mourned by her step children, Brenda Wilson, Bruce (Linda) Burrows, Blair (Shelley) Burrows and her daughter -in-law Elaine Burrows and their children and grandchildren.
She will be missed by her in-laws Edna (Pat) Ledgerwood, Jim (Pat) Burrows and Grant (Joan) Burrows and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie Burrows and his son Bob Burrows.
Also, mourning her passing are her nieces and nephews, Janie (Lorne) Parks, Judy Adamson, Don Adamson, Heidi (Chad) Mrazek, Robert Parks, Scott Adamson, Chris (Helena) Hyslop and Erin van Hagen. She was predeceased by her niece, Barbara Van Hagen.
Gladys was a Past Grand Mistress of Alberta, Ladies Orange Benevolent Association(LOBA) and the Senior Member of Lady Strathcona #138 LOBA, Edmonton; a member of Ulster #121 LOBA in Vancouver, BC.
Gladys and Les lived for nearly 30 years in Coquitlam, following their marriage and retirement. They travelled extensively, curled, golfed and actively participated in their church at Como Lake United Church. They thoroughly enjoyed many wonderful years together.
Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19th at First Memorial – Harmony Chapel, 10541 – 81 Avenue, Edmonton. Private family interment will take place.
