Andy (Francis) was born in Ship Cove, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, on November 16, 1949, to Madeline and Stephen Tobin.
Although he loved the little cove (especially his mom’s Sunday dinners), he had higher aspirations and moved to Ontario at a very young age to work. He spent the majority of his younger years there before heading further west to Fort McMurray (and later Edmonton) Alberta to work and spend his twilight years with other family members who had already relocated there.
Andy loved to be in Edmonton, though occasionally he headed north to Fort McMurray to partake of some of mom’s Sunday dinners, especially at Christmas time. Although being a man of the world at such a young age, he still loved to be around family and you could read it in his face at these visits.
Andy was predeceased by both his parents; his brothers, Anthony, Leonard, Osbourne & Teddy (Ida); and sister, Ann Marie.
Andy leaves to mourn his sisters, Catherine and Elizabeth (John); brother, Peter (Lorraine); his son, Andrew; daughter, Tobi; and several grand-children. He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews.
