Eileen Janet Clark passed away peacefully on January 31st, 2024. She battled Leukaemia for 16 years.
Through the tough times she was always able to make someone laugh even after they were just crying.
Eileen was born and raised in Saskatoon; after finishing school, she traveled the world with her friends before moving to Edmonton in the 1970’s. She met Denis in 1982 and after much persistence from Denis, she finally went on a date with her future husband in 1985. In 1988, she had what would be her future, having a beautiful baby boy on May 7th 1988. She loved visiting her family in Saskatoon, Denis’s family in Winnipeg, and especially anywhere her son was in BC. When he finally settled in Penticton, she would make the journey even though she was in her battle with cancer. She fought hard for 16 years allowing for her family and friends to enjoy many bonus years as she fought through many tough times.
She is survived by her loving husband, Denis Paul; her son, the love-of-her-life, Kris Paul-Clark, and daughter-in-law, Senga Munro.
"I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always; as long as I’m living, my Momma you will be"
She is also survived by her sister, Donna Pettapiece (Marvin Pettapiece), their children, Stacy Pettapiece and Mike Pettapiece (and partner, Jodi Manastyrski), and brother, Glen Clark; many nieces & nephews; brothers and sisters in law; cousins; and her friends who were her family.
She is predeceased by her parents, Peter Clark and Evelyn Clark and her brother, Peter Clark.
“As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Kaye Centre.
We also ask for you to go for a drink with someone you love, clink glasses, and say “here’s looking at you”.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 23, 2024, at 1pm at Cattail Crossing Golf Club in Edmonton.
