It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frederick Newell Kennedy on November 5, 2025.
Born in Victoria, British Columbia on February 17, 1938, Fred lived a life marked by dedication, love, and quiet strength. After joining the military, he married the love of his life, Jeanie Kennedy, in 1957. Together, they built a family rooted in resilience and care.
Fred was a devoted husband and a loving father to Maureen Peacock, Kim Kennedy, and Roy Kennedy. He was predeceased by his children Bobby Kennedy, Billy Kennedy, and Tracy Kennedy, whose memories he carried with him always.
He was a cherished grandfather to Shane, Erin, Allison, Emily, and Max, and a proud great-grandfather to Logan and Abigail. Fred is also survived by his brother Roy and sister Dora, and was predeceased by his sister Diane.
Fred will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room, the stories he shared, and the deep bonds he nurtured with those around him. He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly and honor his memory with love and gratitude.
