It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jackie Goff.
Jacqueline Sarah Walker was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 26th, 1970. Throughout her childhood, she found joy while figure skating, going to Wasa Lake in the summer along with spending time with friends and family, and continued her path of happiness throughout her adolescence. As a young adult, she rose to become a manager at one of Calgary’s busiest nightclubs, Skyroom, among others, and later moved to Grande Prairie in 1997 to pursue a career in Office Administration and Safety. There, she met the love of her life, Dave Goff, and they got married on July 24,1998, and just a little while later, had a beautiful baby boy named Quinton.
From working at Reilly Transfer, to Grimshaw Trucking, to Northern Mat & Bridge, along with other incredible companies, her passion was making a difference in the workplace and showing up for those that needed it. When the family moved to Edmonton in 2018, Jackie took a step back from the workplace to focus on her health. She enjoyed planting flowers, spending time out at the cabin, and making time for her family and friends. She was there every step of the way, up until her passing.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dave; her son, Quinton; her mother, Marilyn; her brother and sister; Stacey and Shannon; and her step-sister, Corinne, as well as her aunts, Bev and Joanne, and many cousins and countless others that admired her courage and whom she adored to call friends and family. She is now in heaven with her father, Gary, her favorite cat, Big Guy, and her “guard dog”, T-Bone.
