Jaquelyn Marie Reinprecht

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jaquelyn Marie Reinprecht (Shute) on Thursday January 14, 2021. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Paul, and three adoring children Corrie (Paul) Yusypchuk, Jeffrey (Andrea) Reinprecht and Steven (Sarah) Reinprecht. Her eight grandchildren were her pride and joy and she will be greatly missed by Andrew, Michael, Katarina, Sydney, Henning, Mette, Liv and Tuva. In addition, she will be fondly remembered by her brother Dennis (Pat) Shute, brother in laws Frank Olson and Mike Rybchuk, sister in law Theresa Keilhauer as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents Beatrice and Edward Shute as well as her sisters Marilyn Rybchuk and Sandra Olson.

Whether it be growing up at the lake, participating in an activity or supporting those she loved, Jacquie was all about family. Jacquie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 11, 1946. Over the years she moved to Toronto, Calgary and then eventually settled in Edmonton to raise her family with her husband of 54 years. Jacquie was a proud Mom, loving wife and loyal friend. She always put her family first and was a tremendous role model to others. Once her children were older, she spent many years working for the University of Alberta Alumni Affairs. Retiring in 2010, she looked forward to travelling the world with her husband and spending more time with her grandchildren. Shortly after her dream holiday to England, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and fought to the very end.

The service will be held at Hainstock’s Funeral Home on Friday January 22, 2021 at 5:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta.
