Jean Adan Kobylka

It is with deep sadness, yet gentle relief, that the children of Jean Adan Kobylka announce that on July 14, 2014, our mom was peacefully set free and has now been reunited with her husband and our dad, Kenneth. Left to celebrate her love and cherish her memories are her children, Keith (Violet Patterson), Jo-Anne, Janice (Jim Toma), and Joy; her grandchildren, Kaida, Kent, Korey, Riley, Erin and Emily; her brother, William (Elizabeth) Reid; brother-in-law, Robert Bladon; brother-in-law, Norman (Vera) Kobylka; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth; her parents, Jeanie and William Reid; her sister, Margaret Bladon and her brother, Stuart Reid. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Southminster Steinhauer United Church, 10740 19 avenue, at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Christopher New officiating.

The family would like to extend our deep gratitude to the Good Samaritan Care Centre Southgate for their devoted care of mom, and as well to the Choice Program-Gerald Zetter Centre for their past support and accommodation. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted to the Good Samaritan Care Centre Southgate, the Choice program, or a charity of one’s choice.
