Jeanette Vivian Hale

Jeanette (Jean) will be deeply missed by her son Ken (Betty) Hale and grandsons Jason & Andrew Hale, her daughter Kathy Hale (Ron Dooley) and their family (Ashley, Jon & Sadie Dolman and Candace, Rod & Maddux Hachey and Jayden Dooley), granddaughter Natasha Best, sister-in-laws Judy Stancombe (Bobby), Delphine Nussey, Kay Reid and brother-in-law Donald Hale (Sue), and her many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Jean was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Everett Hale, parents Sarah and Bill Reid, sister Yvonne Torgerson and brother Bob Reid.

Jean was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and grew up on the prairies in Chin, Alberta. As a young woman she ventured to Edmonton, Alberta where she began her career. She then crossed the country to visit her sister in Nova Scotia. It was there that she met and married Everett. Everett's military career led Jean and the family on an adventurous life with stations in Comox, BC, Edmonton and Yellowknife, NWT. Jean was a strong woman and a wonderful mother and wife. She ensured her family adapted to their changing environments and made each new house “home.” She also enjoyed a long career as a medical receptionist in Comox, Edmonton and Yellowknife.

A celebration of life will be held at Memories Funeral Home
