Joanne Phyllis Harland

Joanne Phyllis Harland, beloved spouse / mother / grandmother / aunt / sister and cousin, passed away on October 26, 2023 at the age of 69. She was born on July 31, 1954 in Edmonton, Alberta to Roy and Jean Faltinson. Joanne lived in Edmonton, St. Albert, Morinville and finally back in Edmonton, where she resided since the late 1990s.

Joanne is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Jean. She is survived by her spouse, Andre Rouillard of Edmonton, her children Christopher (Elena) and Nicholas, her grandson Riley, her sister Janice (Dave), her brothers John (Yesh) and Brian (MaryAnn) as well as her nieces Alex and Vicky (Chris) and many cousins.

Joanne loved to travel. Some of her favorite places were California and Florida and she dreamed of other tropical getaways. One of her biggest adventures was her solo trip around the world which included Singapore and Australia, where she hiked in the outback and down into the rocky gorges, battling flies the entire time.

Joanne also enjoyed cooking and made the best lasagna. She loved hosting Sunday night dinners for family and friends. Joanne loved listening to music (Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Beach Boys) and driving in her Mustang, and later her Thunderbird. She will be missed by all her friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St Albert Trail, Edmonton on August 29th at 2:00 PM.
