He is survived by his loving family; his wife of 68 years, Elsie, daughter Denise Orton and Mark Scrogum, grandchild, Jane and Derek George and great-grandchildren, Jovi and Vincent George.
John was predeceased by his parents and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 9:00AM to 9:50AM, immediately following will be the Funeral service at 10:00AM at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
