Joe will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy, and his children Stephen, Lisa (Lars), Meagan (Timothy), and Teresa. He is survived by his mother Lorraine, and siblings Terri (Tom), Angie (Boris), Gerry (Linda), Lawrence (Georgette), and Paula, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Harry and brother-in-law Mickey.
Joe was born on October 25, 1956, in Ituna Saskatchewan; the third child of six. After graduating high school, he joined the seminary in Toronto, but after two years felt that God had a different path for him. He received a diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal University in Calgary in 1981 and began his career in sales shortly after. Upon his marriage in 1984, he and his young family settled in Edmonton, where he and Kathy raised their four children. Family was always very important to Joe, and he was an attentive son and beloved brother. He made frequent trips to Ituna to help his parents around the house and enjoyed late night rambling phone calls with his siblings. Spending time with his children was always a priority for him and he made the effort to bond with each one individually.
Joe relished his wonderful year and a half of retirement after a 37-year career as a sales rep. He was known for his warm and friendly nature, as well as his excellent sense of humour and hearty laugh. Joe enjoyed taking road trips with family and friends and tending to his tomato plants.
