Karen is survived by her devoted daughter Gerri (Mike), cherished grandchildren Annika and Ayden (Brooklyn). She was also blessed with the joy of her great-grandson David, who was truly the apple of her eye. Karen is lovingly remembered by her brother Peter (Sandra) Marshall.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald (Lee), as well as her parents Henry and Mildred Marshall.
A woman of deep faith and compassion, Karen had a passion for single ministry and dedicated much of her heart and time to it. Family was everything to her—her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandson brought her immeasurable happiness. Beyond her devotion to family and ministry, she also found great joy in her unique love for hedgehogs, which filled her home as both décor and symbols of the warmth and charm she radiated.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will take place at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 14320 94 St NW, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the MS Society or the Cross Cancer Institute, in honor of Karen’s courageous journey and in support of causes close to her heart.
Karen’s love, faith, and vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
