Keith will be dearly missed by his 5 children, Karen Hankins, Deana Babb, Troy (Susanne) Babb, Angela Babb, and Lila Babb. **So not to confuse family and friends who the above are...and in keeping with the BABB tradition of nicknames FUDGE - a Wainwright kid at heart - his kids, Snuffy, Queen Petey, Butchy, Fat Sam, and Casey**
Keith is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Amber (Erick) Rivas, Kyle Hankins, Kentish Steele, Deana Steele (Ryan Andrews), Caitlin (Kurt) Warrington, Dillon Babb (Alexia Tedesco), Hailey Allison, Delainey (Zachary) Gonek, Mackenzie Allison, Casey (Jesse) Parnett and Brandon With; 10 great grandchildren, Ericka (Jared), Jesse and Diego Rivas, Charlotte and Van Warrington, Cassius, Creed and Cairo Gonek, and Malia and Estin Parnett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Keith was predeceased by his wife, Esther (nee Naslund); parents, Lee and Bird (nee Meyer) Babb; grandchildren, Shane Hankins and Ainsley Chaplin; sister, Betty (nee Babb) (Harold) Rathwell; brothers, Ronald (Joan) Babb and Lester (Helen) Babb.
Keith left the farm in Wainwright for the Army and spent most of his life in the Oilfield raising his family in Alberta with his loving wife and partner of 60 years. A proud and respected Oilman working through Canada, the US, New Guinea, Australia, Argentina, the High Arctic and Territories, and offshore of Eastern Canada. From Roughneck, Toolpush, Driller to Drilling Consultant. He was a Mason, a Shriner in the Al Shamal Band, and loved to golf in the Oilmen’s tournaments. He swam and biked to Wainwright and through France after he retired. Dad seamed gruff on the outside to some but he was a big softy; he loved and respected our Mom. They were partners and he had her back. We will truly miss him.
The Family wishes to thank Dr. Fraser Armstrong and his staff for taking great care of Dad for us. We would also like to thank his daughter, Karen Hankins, for selflessly spending the last 13 months taking care of him and allowing him to stay in the comfort of his own home.
