Linda was born in Eastend on November 20, 1947, to Jack and Leonie Bell. She grew up in Eastend and Regina, attending high school and University there. She married her first husband Bill Chernick, and they had two children, Leah and Russell.
Linda moved to Maple Creek with her two children, and this move proved to the blessing of her life, as she met Norman Christiansen. Linda made the big move to Edmonton, in March 2024, to be closer to her children and lived in MacTaggart Place until she passed.
