I have only by chance just learned of Marks passing this evening. He was such an important friend to me through university and the years thereafter before I moved to Toronto. He was my big brother at Phi Delta Theta who truly took me under his wing and forced me to grow in so many ways I would not have otherwise. We shared many, many great moments and adventures.  A few months ago I doggedly tracked him down until we finally spoke by phone after 20 years of absence. I was so happy to speak with him again which went on for over an hour. He was still my big brother who I missed. I was excited that we had reconnected and hoping he would meet my family and see what a difference his influences on me had resulted in. Learning that he has left us leaves a big hole which I can only imagine is many times over for his family and friends. My heart, weepy and sad, is out to you all. Mark was one of the most important friends I ever had.
