Marlene, there were so many things that I loved about you. One was your ability to laugh at yourself. I remember the time that you and Phil were staying at my house and we were getting ready to go out. You came into the kitchen sporting red eyebrows. You’d used the lip pencil instead of the brow pencil. We laughed all night.
Another thing I loved was your mischievous side. We took my little poodle, Grinchy, for a swim at Buck Lake. When she was done I put her on the leash and you said to let her run free like the rest of the dogs. So I did. Grinchy took a quick rip around the beach and then proceeded to pounce on Tanya’s stomach as she was napping in the sun. I was mortified while you thought it was hilarious.
To Phil, Shawn, Cole and Quin, I hope that your pain and sadness passes quickly and is replaced with all the good memories you have. She loves you so much. I send you all my love and condolences.
Marlene, I’ll say goodbye for now. Love you. You were like a mom to me. Thank you for everything. Dahnie.
