Naomi was born in Lamont, Alberta, October 9, 1928, and died on February 14, 2018, in Edmonton. Naomi is survived by her husband of 64 years, Chuck Schneider, their three children Judi Cote (Barry), John Schneider (Vicky), and Donna Tufts (Craig), 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Margaret Schultz (Adolf), brother Valentine Hennig (Frieda), brother-in-law Victor Schneider, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Bernice Schneider. Naomi was a well loved registered nurse for 40 years. In retirement she volunteered many hours at The Cross Cancer Institute, The Rock, and L.I.M.E. (for which she was one of the founders). Naomi’s faith was very important to her and she was actively involved in her church. Naomi enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano, singing, watching hockey (especially if it was the Oilers), and LOVED baking cookies! A Celebration of Naomi’s life will take place at Riverbend Lutheran Church, 495 Rhatigan Rd E., Edmonton, Feb. 24, 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer or MS research.
