Olga Elizabeth Walton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Elizabeth Walton (nee Cameron), on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her husband of 62 years; Alvin, daughter; Janice (Tim), sons; Larry(Lori) and Bruce, 4 granddaughters; Sarah, Nicole, Shaelyn (Steven), and Shyanne, grandson Chase, and 7 siblings; Fran, Grace, Eldon, Wallace, Bruce, Lorna and Dennis. She was predeceased by her parents Anne and Jim Cameron, and brothers; Doug and Gerald.

Olga was born in Cold Lake on January 26, 1933 and grew up on the family farm in Lindbergh. She moved to Edmonton in 1957 and married Alvin in 1959. They lived in north Edmonton, where they raised their family, and Olga worked as a custodian in several public schools.

The family would like to thank all of the amazing care staff at Laurier House Lynnwood for providing wonderful care during Olga’s time at Laurier House.

A Funeral Service will be held at Memories Funeral Home 13403 St. Albert Trail, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:00am, those wishing to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the service. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow prior to making our way to her final resting place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Memories Funeral Home and Crematorium is participating in Alberta’s restrictions exemption program. All individuals attending the funeral service must provide one of the following:

1) COVID-19 proof of vaccination & Identification showing name & date of birth

2) Medical exemption letter & Identification showing name & date of birth

3) Proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours of attendance at the funeral home & Identification showing name & date of birth
