The family of Richard (Rick) Dahlgren of Edmonton, Alberta is sad to announce his passing on July 23, 2025 at the age of 64 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Susan; children: Amanda (Blake) Olaski, Katie (Ken), Erin(Jesse), and Graham(Kayla). Grandchildren: Alexandra, Clark, Wesson and Oakley. Sisters: Susan Barham and Melinda Dahlgren, Mother-in-law Amelia (June) Blanchette, brother-in-law Danny (Jane) Blanchette, sister-in-law’s Paula (Tom) Morrow, and Brigitte (Derrick) Gannon as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Rick was a passionate foodie and hobbyist. He was a chef for over 20 years until he advanced as a salesman with the gift of gab that set everyone at ease. He loved picking up new hobbies including train sets, building & painting model ships and planes. Rick loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends any chance he got.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made in his name to your preferred animal rescue agency. The family wishes to send a thank you to the EMT’s, EPS and staff at Hainstocks for their care and compassion at our time of sorrow.
