Rudi had a great sense of humour, enjoyed driving, loved nature, had loads of patience, and enjoyed good food.
He was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Margarete Gutzmann, his brother Siegfried (1985) and sister, Edelgard, at the young age of 3.
Rudi will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Hilda, of 46 years. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Christel Taylor, and nieces Barb (David) Cheng; Lori (Kerry) Palmer; nephew Doug (Agnes) Gutzmann and their families. He will also be missed by extended family Martha Goeres, Fred Schultz and Irene Grenke and their families. We will miss his hugs, his quick wit, and his hearty laughs. He will be greatly missed by his friends and all who knew him.
Deepest gratitude for the care he received by Dr. King and nurses at the Cross Cancer Institute, as well the Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit 43, whose compassion helped to ease the end of Rudi’s journey.
