With great sadness, we announce the sudden loss of our beloved father, son, and brother, Russell Doig. Loving memories of him will be cherished by; his daughter Lindsay, and son Jarrett; mother,Lois; brother, James (Kathy) (Max and Jamie); and partner, Kim Saybel (Nolan and Spencer); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Russell was predeceased by his father, Jim Doig in 2011.
Born in Winnipeg and raised in Edmonton, Russell earned a BSc from the University of Alberta. His keen mind, logical thinking together with his strong moral character and kindness earned him a position of Senior Construction Manager with Graham Construction and respect throughout the piling industry in Alberta.
Russell loved many things, but his greatest love was for his children which defined his life.
We all take great comfort knowing he has gone home to the LORD. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue, Edmonton at 2:00 pm.
