

Shirley Rose Konchenew, a beautiful and cherished family monarch, passed away along with her beloved son, Kean Konchinew on April 2, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 19, 1952, Shirley's life was a testament to unwavering love, strength, and grace.
Shirley was born to Myron Paskimin and Freda Fineday. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lawrence Konchenow; her mother, Freda; her children, Lawrence Jr. (Violet), Kellie, Kelcey, Krystal (Vincent), Konstance (Klifton), Kirkland (Caitlin), Kari (Pisim) and Carson; numerous beloved grandchildren; her brothers, Ernest, Allan (Gineen), Arnold (Pam), Ben (Faye), Edward, (Gloria), David Fineday, Addy Paskemin and Laurence Paskemin; sisters, Carla, Roxanne Fineday, Marlene, Brenda, Peggy (Andy), Wanda, Ruby Paskemin; her aunt, Lillian Whitecalf as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded by her grandparents who raised her, Joseph & Constance Paskimin; her father, Myron Paskimin (Hilda Paskemin); step-father, Ernest Atcheynum; mother-in-law, Cecilia Thunderchild; aunts, Ida, Edith, Martha, Emma and Eliza; Uncles, Bernard and Henderson Paskemin; sisters, Caroline Fineday, Donna Paskemin, Lisa Fineday, Barbara Fineday; brothers, Richard Fineday, Randy Fineday, Gerald Paskimin, Eldred Paskemin, Brian Fineday and James Fineday.
Shirley was known for her warmth, her boundless capacity for love, and her strength in guiding her children and grandchildren. She was the heart of her family, the one who made every house feel like a home.
To those who knew her, Shirley was not just family — she was an inspiration, a source of strength, and the person we could always count on.
