It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ted on December 18, 2025 at the age of 90 years, with his eldest daughter, Dorota, by his side. Born on May 3, 1935, near the small village of Krubin, Poland; Ted’s resourcefulness brought him to Canada in 1961, where he built his life with a loving family, successful career, and passion for the outdoors.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, six sisters, one brother, and his wife of 58 years, Mirka. He is survived by three children: Arek (Cristina), Dorota, and Betty; his six grandchildren: Jordan, Alycia (Tim), Hailey, TJ (Taylor), Kayla (Jordan), and Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews.
Ted Loved to be outside. He would go for daily walks and tend to his garden, berry bushes, and trees. He enjoyed gardening, and was eager to share his bountiful harvest of tomatoes and raspberries. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and angler and successful excursions netted the biggest smiles.
A Celebration of Ted's life will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 9810 34th Ave, Edmonton, January 8, 2026, at 1:00 pm. With burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Edmonton.
