Vera was born on January 12, 1946, in Orle, Croatia. Vera moved to Germany in her early twenties where she worked in a lab making dentures. She later moved to Canada in 1975 in pursuit of a better life. Through dedication and hard work, she built a life marked by resilience and determination. Even in the face of life's challenges, she remained strong and steadfast until her health began to decline. After a lengthy period of illness, Vera passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025.
She will be remembered for her strength, her perseverance, and the life she shaped through courage and grace.
Vera is survived by her son Darko (Lilijana) and her daughter Snjezana (Nikola), Her sisters Mira and Ana (Vlado), Her grandchildren Mario (Nikolina), Mateja (Tihomir) and Nicholas, her great-grandchildren Leon, Lotta, Mila, and Tessa, her nieces and nephews Stefica, Ana Marija, Darinko and Dalibor along with their families.
Vera was predeceased by her father Ivan and her mother Marija
