Yiannis was raised in Bon Accord and passed away too soon in Edmonton.
He will be lovingly remembered by his father and stepmother Kostas and Miguelina Karayiannis, and their five children Deilin, Lervi, Elias, Gabriel, and Lilyani. His maternal grandparents Jean Holt and Willie Grant, mother Melanie (Holt) Karayiannis, partner David Curtin, siblings Jeannie (Chris), Photine (Felix), and Jack, nephew and niece John and Daphne will live and love joyfully in his memory.
Yiannis was a loving kind hearted man who was generous and loved to help everyone he could. He was a talented soccer player an avid longboarder as well as a NAIT trained chef.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Ioannis and Photine Karayiannis as well as his maternal grandfather Jack Reuben Holt.
A celebration of Yiannis’ life will be held Saturday September 1st, 2018 at Hainstock’s Funeral Home (9810 34Ave NW Edmonton, AB). Viewing at 10:00-11:00am, service at 11:00am with lunch to follow.
