San Diego
Dedicated son, husband, brother and friend to many, David passed away after a valiant fight with Melanoma.
His distinguished career in the construction industry spanned 43 years and saw the completion of well-over 75 ambitious projects. He changed the skyline of San Diego as Senior Project Manager for Highland Partnership, and enriched downtown Portland, OR, as Senior Project Manager with American Assets.
David’s greatest loves were his family and friends; he touched the lives of everyone he met whether on a job site, the golf course, or fishing in Alaska.
David is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda, his father, David F. Cecil of El Cajon, sister Christine and husband Nicholas Gianturco of Boston, sister Carol and husband Greg of Alpine, and his adoring nieces and nephews, Nicole, Thomas, Ann-Marie, and Gregory.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Children’s Hospital, David’s favorite charity and where he was instrumental in developing special projects throughout the hospital with Highland Partnership.
A service will be held at Queen of Angels church on Tuesday, February 2nd at 11 a.m., 2569 W. Victoria Drive, Alpine, 91901. A reception will immediately follow at Sycuan Resort from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., 3007 Dehesa Rd, El Cajon, 92019.
