I would see Lou often while working my RN shifts at Coronado Hospital. He was always pleasant and fun to talk to. What a sense of humor! He loved to laugh and had the best smile. Lou was a friend to everyone. Always willing to help. Polite. Respectful. Caring. Lou,loved your pics in uniform and all the fun, family pics !  I know you will be greeting all your old “buddies” when we meet again!  It was a pleasure to have known you. Thx for the memories                 Deepest sympathy to all your family and many friends.

My love goes out to you all!!!  Uncle Lou was definitely the epitome of a man!! His heart was always full of love and kindness, always making sure I or anyone who visited felt at home.  Your love for your family was always unwaveringly loyal.  Thank you for the great laughs and welcoming smile!!

We love & miss you Uncle Lou ! Forever in our hearts ! 

Lou and I met in 1986 when I joined the San Diego Police Dept. Lou and I worked the Eastern Division, and hit it off right from the start because we were both former Marines . Lou and and were the best of friends, and spent a lot of time together when we we”re working. We started our families at about the same time, and his children saw me as their uncle, and mine saw him as being theirs. We are all going to miss Lou immensely, and we’ll never forget him! Lou you were the big brother I never had, and I love you man!

I worked with Lou in the 1980’s as a patrol officer. He was a character and I always enjoyed his company.  We had a great squad back then. I have many fond memories of him. What a character!  Ken Hofer. Retired SDPD. 

As Charge Nurse in the ER, I always felt safe when Lou was on duty.  He treated everyone with dignity  and respect  and his sense of humor made all the crazy situations memorable.  I loved working with him. 

My name is Cathy and I worked with Lou at  for many years at Sharp Coronado Hospital when he was security and I was working as a nurse in the emergency department. 
There  is not a person I know in that hospital who did not love this man. He was personable, hard-working, had the biggest smile, and was always so helpful. I always felt safer when Lou was on - he took good care of us.

I worked with Lou for years at Coronado Hospital. Lou was so fun, lighting up the ER with his smile. He was smooth, fun and a wonderful security guard. I always felt safe with him there. He was at ease with the patients. And if someone was misbehaving, Lou would talk with them calmly and 
non confrontationally.  He was such an asset.   
I was so very lucky to have known him. And at hospital parties or celebrations, 
Lou out danced every one there!!
I picture Lou up in heaven,  keeping the place lively and dancing away!

I was so sad to receive word of Lou's passing.  I was a nurse at Coronado Hospital where I met him when he came to work Security there.  Everyone loved Lou.  He was there to help us in any way he could.  I'll never forget his big, beautiful smile and funny stories.  He served his Country, raised a wonderful family, worked for the SDPD, and was a friend  to all who knew him.  He loved God, his family,  







and many friends.  He came to a few of our work parties wearing his blue suede shoes and tearing up the dance floor.  He battled some illnesses but never complained.  God must have had big plans for him.  Heaven is now a lot more fun with Lou up there! Rest in Peace, Lou.  I'll see you again on  the dance floor!  Deepest Sympathy to Maria, his children, grandchildren, and family.

"They always take the best" Is what they always say... but you were more than that Dad! You were the GREATEST! I love and miss you so much. Until we meet again. See you next month!
