Deanne was born on December 2, 1951 to Robert and Lucille Harth of Leavenworth KS. Dee attended Immaculata High School while working part time in the family owned “Harth” bakery, graduating in 1969. Dee shared so many entertaining stories surrounding this time of her life. Stories of summers at her grandma’s strawberry farm, jumping creeks, and running with the farm hound dogs through the woods, among many more.
In the summer of 1971, Dee and two of her good friends, Kathy and Karen drove out to San Diego. It was that summer when Dee met Jim, her husband of 45 years. It didn’t take long for love to take hold and the rest is history. Dee was such a beautiful person inside and out. Jim and Dee married on September 6, 1975. Dee had a natural gift for photography and excelled as a photographer for Kinder photo for a time. On September 23, 1976 that all changed when James, Dee and Jim’s first son was born. This was the kick off for Dee’s career as a daycare provider that spanned 44 years. their 2nd son Cody arrived June 9, 1981, and their 3rd and final son Jeff was born on October 15, 1985. Over the years Dee cared for dozens of children. The parents always rested easy knowing their child was safe and in Dee’s loving arms while they were away at work.
Dee was blessed with 2 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. She loved them so very, very much and played a very active role in their lives.
Dee’s hobbies included photographing wildlife and nature. She had taken so many beautiful and creative photos of birds, squirrels, bunnies, sunsets, and mountains, the list really was endless. She was an avid bird watcher and got to know so many different types of birds and where they came from. She enjoyed feeding all the birds the specific seed or nuts they loved. She was also passionate about bears, her love of nature knew no boundaries.
Dee was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She was selfless, often putting others first and offering help while expecting nothing in return. Anyone who knew Dee felt very special to have had her in their lives.
She is survived by her husband Jim, son James (Mary), son Cody (Amber), son Jeff (Jennifer), grandsons Kadin and Kaleb, granddaughters Brynn, Natalie, Kinley, and Riley. Her sisters Linda Raach and Pam (Daryl) Robinson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Judy and her parents Robert and Lucille.
