Kris shared his life with his devoted wife, Amber. For nearly 30 years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and superintendent, a career he loved and took great pride in.
Kris lived life with energy and joy. He loved fishing in both fresh and saltwater and spending time in the desert. Riding his Harley-Davidson with friends brought him a sense of freedom he cherished. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh.
A true foodie, Kris especially enjoyed Mexican, Italian — and anything with cheese. He also loved chocolate and developed a passion for honey, which he and Amber collected together during their travels both locally and abroad. Over time, he became something of a honey connoisseur, always eager to discover a new flavor.
Above all, Kris was proud to be a Dad, Papa, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Amber; his five children; and his six grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother.
Kris’s memory will be carried on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire laughter, adventure, and love of life.
A Celebration of Life and reception will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the El Cajon Mortuary.
