

After moving to San Diego he graduated from Sweetwater High School and received his BA in Police Science from National University. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 - 1962, where he worked in both Military Police and Handled K-9. He was a National City Police Officer from 1966-1982 and a Deputy Sheriff until he retired in 2002.
He was an enthusiastic motorcycle rider, and avid reader, a history buff, he never missed a John Wayne movie and he always had a great story to share. Survived by his wife, Catherine of 54 years, three sons, Robert (Patricia), Kenneth (Edith), and Michael (Maria). His grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle, Lance, Nicole, Erin, and Tyler. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He will always be missed and loved by all. He was a warrior to the end and will always be our hero. He was proud of his family and always brought honor to his badge. 10-42 End Of Shift
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 405 Ballard St., El Cajon, CA 92019 on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will immediately follow at the Elks Lodge 1812, 1400 East Washington Ave., El Cajon, CA 92019
