Marie Catherine Buesing

Marie C. Buesing, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born on January 13, 1948 in Weehawken, New Jersey to Charles and Eileen Pellicano, Marie was proud of her Italian and Welsh heritage, which shaped her vibrant personality, strong values, and deep appreciation for family, tradition, and beauty.

Marie was a trailblazer in the cosmetology profession, with a career spanning six decades. As a successful business owner, she founded and operated numerous salons throughout her life, leaving a lasting mark on the industry through her creativity, leadership, and dedication to excellence. Her work was not only a reflection of her artistic talent but also of her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to empowering others.

Marie’s greatest legacy was her family. She is survived by her devoted children, Michelle Zvirzin of Spring Valley, California, and Bruno Zvirzin (Lois Irwin) of Murrieta, California; and by her beloved grandchildren: Charles Rodriguez, Nicholas Zvirzin (Thamily), Marco Zvirzin, Christian Musial, and Corrine Toups (Aiden). She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Sabrina Lueck (Randy) and Charlene Thorvick (Tom), along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Bruno Zvirzin, and her second husband, James Buesing. Her deep love for animals was a constant throughout her life, and she is deeply missed by her loyal long term canine companion, Eddie.

Marie’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and enduring friendship. Her kind heart, generous soul, and gift for storytelling touched countless lives. The many lifelong relationships she nurtured are a reflection of the depth of her love and the warmth she radiated.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service in her honor will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway, California, followed by a Celebration of Life Luncheon.
