Mario married Myrna in 1987, they moved between Costa Rica and San Diego until officially settling down at San Diego, CA where he lived for 36 years with wife and daughters. Mario received his bachelors in agricultural engineering from the University of Costa Rica in 1985. He was very passionate about nature and environmental conservation. Mario enjoyed the company of his canine and feline friends, with his cat Nolo being the favorite. Nolo and Scooby have stayed behind with Myrna, but Ginger, Snickers, Cariñoso, Blacky, and Pery are on a long walk with him. When it came to hobbies Mario loved watching soccer games, until his granddaughter Avery was born in 2018 and became one of his greatest joys. Mario was raised Catholic, in his 20’s he was involved with the church choir, and throughout his life he remained devoted to his faith. Mario’s memory stays with us as a man who was always gentle, kind, responsible with a strong work ethic, loving of nature and animals, and so loving with his family.
