I loved my mom. She was strict, but she was loving to. We always had good times when my school had a “Mother-Son Event”. I loved her and always will. I believe that is is not fair that in the relationships section, my father, Mario Herbelin, isn’t there. He loves my mom to the moon and back. Sure, they weren’t a happy couple all the time, but my mom said toy before she went into the hospital, that she loved my dad deep down inside. My family is really sad that she is gone. - Melissa’s son, Gavin Herbelin.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Melissa's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We remember our visit to Chicago where the Pauls lived at the time, and  the joy we all had watching all the cousins, Daniel, Emily, Patrick, Stephanie, Lauriel, Alex and Melissa, laughing and playing together when they were all quite young.

How blessed we were to be able to visit with Melissa so many years later in 2015 and witness what a kind, loving and devoted mother she was.
