Mylene Abuel Uriostegui passed away on April 26, 2025 after a long, courageous battle against ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. She is predeceased by Cenon Abuel (father) and Marife McInerney (sister); she is survived by Armando Uriostegui (spouse), Anne Jinro Santos (daughter), Corazon Abuel (mother), Arnel Abuel (brother), and Rommel Abuel (brother).
Mylene was born and raised in the Philippines, then moved to San Diego, CA in 2013. In the Philippines, she completed her studies, built a career in the hospitality and restaurant industry, and raised her daughter Jinro. When she moved to San Diego to be with her mother, Corazon, she continued her career then eventually met the love of her life, Armando, while working at Best Western Bayside Inn and Restaurant where she worked for about 10 years. The couple culminated a strong relationship, where they share unconditional love and deep respect for one another. The couple’s joy is further enriched by their daughter, Jinro.
Her physical absence is felt by many people, but her spirit remains as her memories lives on through the people whose lives she has touched with her beauty, kindness, and warmth.
