Pat, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on December 11, 1939, in the Township of Wausau, Wisconsin to the late Kenneth and Elta (Treibel) Worden.
Pat completed her early education at Zion Lutheran School and obtained her High School Diploma at Wausau High School. She relocated with her family to San Diego County, CA in 1975. Pat was a devoted stay-home mom for many years. Then she had a career in Property Management and later as a manicurist, which was a true art for her. She always enjoyed the social interaction with "her ladies" that her manicuring job brought her.
Pat will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her 3 daughters Jane Koppa, Christine (John) Hart, and Julie Bautista. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Ashley, Daniel, Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Christopher, and her two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lila. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of all her family members. Pat will forever be remembered by her surviving siblings, Mary Coleman, and Sandy (John) Townshend. She will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband James Mallon, her parents Kenneth and Elta Worden, and her siblings, Dean Worden, Rita Worden, Louann Fenhaus, Sally Fenhaus, and Verda Bliese.
Pat had a passion for life and pursued various hobbies with great enthusiasm. She enjoyed home decorating, creating beautiful landscapes, completing complex puzzles, bowling, traveling, and watching the Padres. She especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings at her home with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at La Vida Real Assisted Living and Memory Care for their ongoing support, guidance, patience, and love shown to Pat and her family during her last years. Even in the midst of her medical and cognitive challenges, Pat remained positive and lit up a room, and charmed her caregivers with her infectious smile. Pat will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on in all those who were touched by her love, laughter, and smile.
According to Pat's wishes, there will be no service, but a private celebration of life with family. If desired friends may make memorial donations to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society.
