

William “Bill” Heventhal was called to the lord on January 14, 2021 at the age of 80. Bill was born to William Monroe Heventhal Sr and Roberta Haywood Brown in Camden, NJ. Bill is survived by his 4 children (and spouses) William Heventhal (and Sharon), Joseph Heventhal (and Alma), Suzanne Heiter (and John), and Barbara Rawlinson (and Todd), his 6 Grandchildren Raquel Jacome (and Miguel), Bryce Heventhal, Brianne Weitl (and Ian), John Weitl (and Gina), Amanda Proffer and Cynthia McNeil (and Demo), and his 4 Great Grandchildren Yadira Yepez, Kristian Yepez, Santiago Yepez, and Rylan Proffer.
Bill enlisted in the US Navy after graduating high school in 1957. He served in the Military for over 20 years retiring as a Senior Chief Electronics Technician. Bill earned his Bachelors Degree in accounting while serving in the Navy and after being honorably discharged, he obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Bill was a long time resident of El Cajon, California where he enjoyed camping, golfing, wood working, & walking. He also loved his music and played many instruments including saxophone, guitar, piano, and clarinet. He was involved in numerous organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the Elks & the Jackalopes. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a proud American & showed his patriotism in his every day life.
Bill is now reunited with his beloved wife, Joan, who preceded him to heaven four months earlier. He will be truly missed by his family and extended families; the Wandering Elks camping group and the VFW.
