William will be deeply missed by his family and friends but forever remembered as a caring, humorous, hard working and most importantly a great family man. He considered himself the original Padre Fan. William worked as a stagehand for many years in San Diego. He loved singing in the church choir (where he met Liz) and a Barber Shop Quartet. William also enjoyed being a baseball umpire, traveling, camping, dancing and a good beer.
William is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. Reilly; his son Timothy Reilly of Imperial, California; his son William Reilly III of Lakeside, California; his daughter Cathleen Shaffer (Thomas) of Alpine, California; his son Patrick Reilly of Lakeside, California; and his daughter Tamara Reilly (Kyle Phipps) of Lakeside, California.
William was preceded in death by his sister Lois Holland.
William is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 3:00 PM at El Cajon Mortuary and Cremation Service, 684 South Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020, followed by a rosary service at 4:00 PM.
