Amelia Hopper

Amelia was born August 21st, 2019 in El Dorado Arkansas to Jordan and Devin Hopper.

She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Nancy Irene McBride Webb (PawPaw), great grandfather Charles Webb, and great uncle John Charles Webb.

Since birth, she courageously battled a rare, progressive neurological disorder caused by an SCN8A gene mutation.

Amelia taught those around her the true meaning of unconditional love, perseverance, and above all else—strength. While her journey looked different than most, the experiences and memories she gave her family were deeply meaningful and forever life-changing.

She was deeply loved by her parents, family, caregivers, and the countless people who followed and supported her journey over the years. Amelia especially loved being surrounded by the chaos of her family, feeling comforted by familiar voices, music, cuddles, head scratches, and the people who loved her most.

Amelia is survived by her loving parents, Devin and Jordan Hopper; her siblings, Nixon Wayne Hopper, Robbie Rose Hopper, and Benjamin Henry Hopper; her grandmother, Brandy Cain (“WaWa”) and fiancé Chris Black; her aunt, Olivia Fraser, and fiancé Senica Miller, along with their daughter, Rovie Lee Miller; her uncle, Maddox Cain; her uncle Chris Hopper and wife Gracie; her grandfather, David Hopper (“Pops”); her great-grandparents, Jimmy (“Papaw”) and Diana (“Granny”) Moore; her grandfather, Allen Smith (“Papaw”) and wife Jennifer (“Granny”); her great-grandparents, Henry (“Papaw”) and Joyce (“Mamaw”) Smith; her grandmother, Shellie Thomas (“Mia”) and fiancé Doug Lynn; her aunt, Layla Webb; her uncle, Jacob Smith and wife Ashanti; her great-grandparents, Richard and Cecile Thomas; along with an absolute abundance of other important cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and family friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday May 23rd 2026, 10:00 AM. Funeral services will start thereafter at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Young’s Funeral Home.
