

Billie Jean Gaylor Crowder passed away on Sunday, November 24th, in Plano, Texas, at her residence. She was born on May 27, 1925, and raised in El Dorado, but lived briefly in Magazine, AR during the depression. Her parents were Charles Embry Gaylor and Alice Eleanor Slade. She attended El Dorado Senior High School and graduated in 1943. She married Robert Walter Crowder, Jr., upon his return from serving in the Navy during WW II on November 23, 1945. She lived most of her life in El Dorado except for a time in Alvin, TX. Billie moved to Texas in September of 2012 to be near her family. Bob passed away January 28, 2009 in El Dorado.
Billie is survived by a daughter, Susie Brennes and husband, Rick, of Plano, TX, a granddaughter, Stefanie Brennes of Euless, TX, and a grandson, Ricky Brennes and fiancée Erica Harpold of Austin, TX. She is also survived by a sister, Annie Laura Ramsey of Dallas, TX, sisters-in-law Bess Mathews of El Dorado, and Betty Coleman of Hempstead, TX, plus many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Billie was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved her church and made
many wonderful friends there.
The funeral is scheduled for 2:00, Saturday, November 30th, at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Faron Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park.
The family wishes to extend their loving gratitude for the excellent care of their “Ninnie” to Terry Jamerson of Magnolia, and Lola Miller of El Dorado.
